Pear-Pecan Haroset
This recipe comes from Arkansas, where pecans are grown locally. Pears add soft, mellow flavor. Try this haroset with fish.
Yield: 2 1/2 cups (serving size: 2 tablespoons)
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded peeled Golden Delicious apple (about 1 pound)
- 1 cup shredded peeled Bartlett pear (about 3/4 pound)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Fold in chopped pecans. Refrigerate 2 hours in an airtight container.
