Yield: Makes about 2 1/2 cups (serving size: 1 tbsp.)

Ingredients

  • 1  medium-size sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1  cup  ketchup
  • 2  tablespoons  firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2  tablespoons  fresh lemon juice
  • 2  tablespoons  apple cider vinegar
  • 2  tablespoons  Worcestershire sauce
  • 1  tablespoon  olive oil
  • 1  garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2  teaspoon  salt
  • 1/2  teaspoon  pepper

Preparation

1. Stir together all ingredients and 1/2 cup water in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes.
