Super Quick. Mix the leftover taco seasoning with fat-free sour cream to serve with fajitas or stir the seasoning into crushed corn flakes to use as a coating for oven-fried chicken.

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1  pound  ground round
  • 1/2  cup  frozen chopped onion
  • 1  (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles, undrained
  • 2  tablespoons  40%-less-sodium taco seasoning
  • 1  (8-ounce) can no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • 6  hamburger buns, warmed

Preparation

1. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over high heat until hot. Add ground round and onion; cook 5 minutes until meat is browned and onion is tender, stirring to crumble meat. Add chiles, taco seasoning, and tomato sauce, stirring well. Cook over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring often.

2. Spoon meat mixture evenly over bottom halves of buns; top with remaining bun halves.
