This is one of my all time favorite sandwiches. It is best with fresh tomatoes and occasionally I'll alter the cheese (fontina is a good choice) - - - -but honestly the sandwich is perfect exactly as described. A great healthy dinner for a week night when you're trying to get out of the house quickly for a meeting but still trying to eat healthily.07/31/08

An excellent combo of flavors, and really easy to make.
Make sure you have a nice, fresh tomato, but other substitutions are definitely possible - I've used a light spread of roasted red pepper alfredo sauce instead of the pesto spread, and munster instead of mozzarella, and both are very good.05/04/08
