Edit Note

A reader loves homemade salad dressings but they all require oil, so she decided to create a healthier dressing. The tartness of the vinegar blends well with salad greens, but we've also found it tastes great on a fruit salad.

Yield: 8 servings (serving size: 1 cup greens and 1 tablespoon dressing)

Ingredients

  • 1/4  cup  white vinegar
  • 2  tablespoons  sugar
  • 1  tablespoon  ketchup
  • 1/4  teaspoon  garlic salt
  • 1/4  teaspoon  pepper
  • 1/4  teaspoon  Worcestershire sauce
  • 8  cups  torn salad greens

Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl; stir well. Serve dressing over greens.
