Bourbon Buttercream Frosting
This recipe goes with Chocolate-Bourbon-Pecan Cake
Yield: Makes about 6 cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 (16-ounce) packages powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup bourbon
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar alternately with bourbon and milk, beating at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

Loved the flavor but the texture of the icing could be improved. Doesn't matter for this recipe since you cover it in pecans. Overall I was still really happy with it.12/12/06
