Yield: Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1/4  cup  butter or margarine
  • 1  medium onion, diced (about 1 cup)
  • 1  cup  ketchup
  • 1/3  cup  water
  • 1/4  cup  honey
  • 2  tablespoons  lemon juice
  • 1  tablespoon  Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4  teaspoon  ground black pepper

Preparation

Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat; add onion, and sauté 4 to 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Store leftover sauce in refrigerator up to 1 week.

So-so. Make sure you use Butter and don't add the called for 1/3 cup of water. The sauce will be to thin. I won't make this again there are to many good sauce recipes.02/12/06
