Worthy of a Special Occasion

Yield: Makes 10 to 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 1  dozen hard-cooked eggs, peeled
  • 1/2  cup  mayonnaise
  • 3  tablespoons  mango chutney
  • 1/8  teaspoon  ground red pepper
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Garnish: sliced fresh chives

Preparation

Cut eggs in half lengthwise; carefully remove yolks. Mash yolks; stir in mayonnaise, chutney, and red pepper until blended. Spoon yolk mixture evenly into egg white halves. Sprinkle evenly with desired amount of salt. Garnish, if desired. Chill until ready to serve.

Deviled eggs are a good appetizer. I think Ms Bloods recipe is a nice change from the original recipe with the chutney and all. but, I think if you are going to serve Deviled Eggs, using a variety of different recipes is an even better idea, this way your guests won't tire of the same taste & even try some of the other recipes for the first time. I love deviled eggs but they are rich, like lamb and things like that. But all in all Ms Bloods recipe is one I myself will try.10/27/04
