Great recipe! Like others, I used ground turkey instead of chicken, and it was a good substitution. We also used the CL Basic Pizza Sauce (spicy version) and made our own whole wheat pizza dough. The calzones were delicious; the whole family loved them! 06/09/09

This is so delicious and so easy. Great to make for guests -- it's easy enough to make that doubling the recipe would be no big deal, either. I've made this numerous times and it is always a hit. I serve them with a simple side salad. 05/05/09

This was so quick and easy. Really tasty and a great idea instead of takeout pizza. I actually used ground turkey breast since we had it in the freezer. 03/10/09

This looked like such an ordinary recipe; I was surprised it turned out so good! I'll definitely have to keep it in mind to make again. I couldn't find fresh basil and used dried and it was still very good. A keeper. 02/22/09

This is going into my regular rotation. I made it on a Friday night after work and my husband thought it was better than ordering in pizza - quite a compliment. I followed the recipe as written, except used a full jar of pizza sauce. The second time I made it I tossed in some spinach - delicious. Easy and adaptable. 01/27/09

Excellent! I used 99% lean ground turkey instead of ground chicken as it had less fat. And, used the whole can of pizza sauce. Also, i divided the dough in half and saved the other half for another day along with the extra meat as the recipe makes way too much for two people. Served it with the salad-great combo. 12/18/08

Great weeknight recipe! I used turkey and dried basil instead of fresh. Served it with the spinach salad pictured. Yummy - great flavors. 12/10/08

This is an excellent easy dish. I couldn't find ground chicken at any of the stores near me, so I went with 93/7 turkey and it turned out great. Only bad part was the dough - it takes some time and patience to get it just right and not put holes in it, but coating my counter with corn meal helped out massively. 12/04/08

Simple and satisfying! I made these with ground turkey (you'd have thought I would have had enough turkey on Thanksgiving weekend!) as that's all the store had. These were really good - very satisfying. I served with salad and extra pizza sauce on top. I will definitely make these again. 12/02/08
