Perfect fudge-y brownie texture, flavor is to die for. Although the bourbon did a good job of bringing out the chocolate flavor, I would have liked it to have a bit stronger presence on its own. 06/16/04

I did not use bourbon, but milk instead. The brownies were wonderfully moist and are comparable in taste and texture to the brownies of a famous restaurant. Great recipe!!!! 04/07/04

Yummy! I had "leftover bourbon" and this was perfect way to use it up. Mild bourbon flavor but dominantly chocolate taste! Dense, fudgy cakelike. Check with a toothpick as I had to cook a bit longer. 03/02/04

The brownies were good, but I thought the bourban taste too pronounced. 01/30/04

I absolutely love these brownies. The bourbon gives them a really unique and rich flavor. Adding walnuts and just a bit more chocolate chips makes them even better! 01/21/04

Thought they came out extremely dry and more like a bad cake. 01/06/04

Sell my cloths I've gone to heaven... These are absolutely the best brownies I have ever made, and I am famous in my circle of friends for my brownies. I did add a 1/2 cup of coarsly chopped walnuts to the batch. 12/18/03

These brownies are WONDERFUL! Our whole family LOVES them, and several people said they were the "best brownies they have EVER had." Next time I will add toasted walnuts or pecans to make them even better. Bourbon... it's not just for Happy Hour anymore! 12/15/03

I first used this recipe for a Thanksgiving dinner desert. I figured if my family likes it then it must be good. My family absolutely LOVED these brownies and they are low in fat too. 11/25/03

Look out!!! Just standing too close the boiling bourbon fumes could knock the cook over! Everyone who got one LOVED them. I'd add a tad more chocolate next time by frosting them. This will be a regular at our house. 09/12/03

I made this with milk instead of bourbon. Needs to cook longer than suggested, so check the middle with a toothpick. Everyone at work loved them! 09/11/03

Wonderful!! Rich brownie flavor. Took them to a party and nobody knew they were "light". The bourbon brings out the chocolate. 08/10/03

I was ready for the thick batter (not too bad) and doubled the recipe for a party. Half were gone before they made it to the table - someone helped themselves and word of mouth took over! Sooo delicious - no one believed they were light, as usual! 08/04/03
